Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienists to provide exceptional patient care. Your role will involve assisting with dental procedures, maintaining a clean and sterile environment, and ensuring the comfort of our patients.

Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and retracting tissues
- Take and develop dental x-rays using digital imaging software
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms using aseptic techniques
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient records using Eaglesoft software

Skills:
- Proficiency in infection control protocols and maintaining a sterile environment
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment
- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques for capturing dental x-rays
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and record patient information
- Understanding of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for creating dental restorations
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions
- Compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
- Current certification in Dental Assisting preferred but not required
- X-ray certification required in some states; willingness to obtain certification if not already possessed
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
